Sage Turkey

1 whole turkey
1 large oven bag
Various vegetables (potatoes, onions, carrots, celery, etc)
1 sliced apple (opt)
1 Tbsp fresh sage or 1 tsp dry sage
2 cloves of garlic, minced
1 bay leaf
1/2 c. white wine
salt and pepper to taste
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. Rinse turkey and remove giblets. Salt and pepper to taste.
3. Sprinkle the bottom of the turkey size oven bag with flour.
4. Stuff turkey with apples, onions and bay leaf. Rub sage and garlic on the skin of the turkey.
5. Place turkey and vegetables in the oven bag. Pour wine over the turkey. Seal bag and poke several holes on the top with a fork.
6. Bake for 3 - 3 1/2 hours, or until internal temperature of the thigh meat reaches 180 degrees F.
